TSRemote
TSRemote Overview
TSRemote is Remote Computer Support Service. The main purpose is to allow a support person to quickly and securely connect to an end users computer. Once connected, the support person can view and control the end users computer. Bomgar and LogMeIn-Rescue are the most common examples of this type of program. The second most common use of this program is for Remote Access. With TSRemote you can access your computers anytime, anywhere, securely. GoToMyPc is an example of this type of service.
Bomgar and LogMeIn-Rescue are very expensive and are primarily used by larger companies. GoToMyPC does not really fit into the support category of software. What TSRemote brings to the table is an inexpensive way for small and medium size companies to have the capabilities of Bomgar and LogMeIn without the cost. The utility of this service cannot be over-stated. With this service, we have been able to eliminate travel and provide support within minutes to users.

We have added features and troubleshot wells in Wyoming while sitting in our office in Dallas. We have a technician go out to the well with a laptop with programming software installed. The Technician connects to the Internet via their phone using tethering. Using Remote support, we connect to their computer and work on the program.
After a bad storm and lightning strike, we had support call from a city that is over an hour away. We were able to reload new PLC's and get the system back up and running quicker than if we drove out to the site.
Recently, we did a complete start up and commissioning of some airport equipment in a foreign country. An electrician would hook up a computer to the equipment and then connect to us in Dallas.
It has been about five years since we have had to go on site to install our software at an airport. We have been using remote support software for installations since that date. We are able to install servers, clients, test and commission without having to travel.
We use Remote Access to support Servers for clients that do not have IT departments. Remote Access allows to quickly connect to the servers. For security, the client has complete control on allowing us access.
We were able to assist technicians at a remote compressor site in Colorado in troubleshooting a compressor using Remote Support. We worked through the problems in a couple hours. If we would have had to travel to the site, it would have taken 8 to 12 hours travel. Four hours of support versus a three day support call probably explains why this client has used our services for almost 15 years.
